Jeff Consiglio has written and directed nearly 30 original short films
spanning the genres of horror, thriller, comedy, cinema verite, drama
and music video, many of which have been broadcast on AMC TV. Recent
directing work includes the commercial NAUGHTIGIRL for OhMiBod (see
below) and commercials for Lifetime Television Network and Converse
Shoes. Jeff is also currently producing, directing and editing his
first documentary feature film WET PICKET FENCE, an intruiging look
at the ordinary people behind the anything-but-ordinary adult novelty
industry.
As editor, Jeff's work includes WARDANCE, the 2008 Academy Award Nominee
for BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE, and PORK AND BEANS for the band WEEZER,
the 2009 Grammy Award Winner for BEST SHORT FORM MUSIC VIDEO.
Jeff directed and edited FRAMED, written
by Veronica DiPippo and produced by Marc Aramian, which served as
the vanguard film project from Crunch Entertainment. He also edited
DANDELION DHARMA, Veronica DiPippo's
award-winning epic short film.
He has served for years as an A-list editor of commercials, film trailers,
main title sequences and documentaries for clients such as Peter Weir,
Michael Bay,John Frankenheimer, Jerry Bruckheimer, Kevin Costner,
David E. Kelley, John Sayles, Sony, Universal Pictures, Touchstone,
HBO and Academy Award winning documentarian Paul Wagner. He has worked
extensively on the presales and marketing campaigns of numerous Hollywood
films.
Jeff also edited the music videos GIRL for BECK and THE ONE I LOVE
for DAVID GRAY, the documentary POSITIVELY NAKED for HBO/Cinemax which
received BEST DOCUMENTARY SHORT at AFI / SILVERDOCS and AUDIENCE FAVORITE
at NEWPORT INT'L FILM FESTIVAL, the documentary feature THE BALLAD
OF BERING STRAIT (Koch International), directed by Nina Gilden Seavey,
which received AUDIENCE FAVORITE at THE WASHlNGTON DC INT'L FILM FESTIVAL,
and the short film NIGHTSWEATS, written and directed by Veronica DiPippo
and produced and composed by Marc Aramian, which has become a festival
favorite.
He co-founded the landmark film directing collective GROUP101FILMS
in Los Angeles, which grew to over 750 members in 12 US cities, Canada,
Denmark, London, Pakistan and the Philippines, and produced over 2500
